Well, last night I attended my first Christmas party of the year!!! it was very nice and specially because it was the party that my Church gives to all the peeople that help out in the ministeries. I belong to 3 of them and had to choose with witch one to go, and I choose "Jesus of the streets" This ministery is the one that goes out to the very difficult areas of San Josè, and we try to help the homeless, drug addicted and alcoholics of the streets, and we are just a group of 15 people, so, I made this silk duppionni Jacket, very fast!!!! I drafted the pattern, just very simple with and armhole princess style, semi-fitted. The long sleeves were cut a bit different, because I saw a style from Chanel that I liked where the armholes were cut deep into the shoulder, so.....due to my very square shoulders.....I decided to cut it that way. Then, in the same jacket I saw this lovely embroidery.....but....I did not had the time to do something similar....so, and idea came into my mind to use scraps of silk, and then....unravel silk thread......had no time to do make 6 buttons.....so, decided to put an open end zipper, and finished with a single hand made button. Ja-ja-ja!!! no time to make pockets either......but this is my version of the black and white Chanel jacket.
